Logo na primeira etapa, Logo no início da primeira etapa, o Concórdia chegou ao ataque com Rafa Marcos, que bateu de primeira e obrigou Rodolfo Castro a fazer bela defesa. As primeiras chances do Figueirense apareceram em chutes de fora da área de Kauê, duas vezes, mas faltou capricho. Felipe Manoel retornou ao ataque do Concórdia e obrigou Rodolfo a espalmar para escanteio.

Aos 43′, o Galo do Oeste pressionou a saída de bola do Figueira, Arez roubou e mandou um belo chute para o fundo das redes, abrindo o placar.

The January transfer window is not that far away from opening now, so the transfer stories are going to heat up, and that is definitely happening at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have already been linked with several players, with United reportedly interested in signing N’Golo Kante in January.

The Frenchman has been performing at a high level in Saudi Arabia, which has meant he’s still being called up to the French national team. United have been left impressed by his displays and are keen to bring him back to Europe in the new year. However, they are not the only team interested, as Real Madrid are also keen, and an offer of £12 million could be enough to get a deal over the line.

It could be a case of one in and one out at Old Trafford, as speculation continues over the future of Marcus Rashford. The Englishman has once again struggled for form this season, and it has been claimed that United could look to cash in on Rashford, as Amorim’s arrival is seen as the last chance to revive his career.

Amorim may already have his eye on a player who could potentially replace Rashford at Old Trafford as the Premier League side make an enquiry for a talented winger.

Man Utd make enquiry to sign Geovany Quenda

According to talkSPORT, Manchester United have made an enquiry over the signing of Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP. The 17-year-old joined the Portuguese side in July 2019, but it wasn’t until the start of this season that he was given an opportunity in the first team.

Quenda operates mainly on the right-hand side of attack, but he also has the ability to play central and on the left. Amorim obviously knows the player well from their time at Sporting, and he could be seen as the right player to replace Rashford should he be allowed to leave.

The report states that United are keen to reunite Amorim with one of his former players at Old Trafford, with Quenda labelled as “exciting” by football talent scout Jacek Kulig in the past. However, they are not the only team interested, as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City have also previously been linked with moves.

Ireland allrounders Paul Stirling and Shane Getkate are set to travel to Jamaica and link up with the rest of the squad after returning negative Covid-19 tests. The duo had to stay back in Florida and self-isolate at a hotel after having tested positive for the virus, days after the cancellation of their ODI series against USA.Simi Singh and Ben White, who had missed the first ODI against West Indies on Saturday after testing positive via a routine antigen test, are still awaiting the results of their RT-PCR tests after a service delay. According to a Cricket Ireland release, both players could miss the entire series.Meanwhile Andy McBrine, who had to retire hurt after being struck on the helmet while batting on 34 in the first ODI, will have follow-up assessments over the next 48 hours for a “mild concussive episode”. The release said that his symptoms were “very minor” and that he would be in line for selection for the second ODI if he passes his assessment on Monday.A string of Ireland players had tested positive before the T20Is against USA last month, following which the ODI series was cancelled. Andy Balbirnie and McBrine also had to then isolate as they were deemed close contacts of Stirling and Getkate and were allowed to join the squad in Jamaica after returning negative tests.The last two ODIs are scheduled to be played on January 11 and 14, with a solitary T20I to follow on January 16.

I think the restrictions are now no longer as much to do with our health and safety as they are to do with making sure that competitions go ahead and financial reasons for companies, organisations, franchises and making it work from that point of view.”When that starts happening and that transition is so apparent, and you feel as a player that you’re just being manoeuvred on a chessboard, that’s I think when people are going to be pulling out, fairly swiftly. That’s probably not far away, or else rules will be broken as you go.”As a whole, we’ve done pretty well. Not that you can blame anyone else but it would seem like we’ve had our camp in a good way, our discipline was good, we were sticking to the rules which is easier said than done sometimes.”We had a pretty good record and I think whenever cases came out, we nipped it in the bud. This is the first time where it’s lingered. I don’t know any teams that have completely avoided it, so it’s maybe time to start moving on in that direction a bit quicker.”Ireland’s players are in a strict bubble in Jamaica but were not at the start of their tour in Florida, where they had to abide by Covid protocols as part of a “managed environment”. Even if you’re negative, you’ve got that anxiety of ‘will it be me next?’ This just seems to be one of those ones where it feels like our turn. It is tough if you’re not used to it. You’re away from home, you’re not sure if you’re going to get home.”Hopefully this is going to ease out with time this year. I don’t think there’s too much rope left with the players with having these bubbles as we go forward. The next three-four months, an easing of these sort of protocols would be pretty high on our list.”Stirling said that he was fit to play on Thursday despite suffering from “two dodgy days” while self-isolating in Miami, and feeling like he was “in the Highlands in South Africa” while jogging at his first training session in Jamaica.”From a health point of view, I’m feeling good,” he said. “I’m glad it’s over – the people who have had it are so glad they’ve already had it because that takes you off for six months [due to natural immunity] where we can focus on cricket. It has been a poor start to the season for Wolverhampton Wanderers. Gary O’Neil’s job has come under fire in recent weeks, with the Old Gold sitting second-bottom in the Premier League with just one victory on the board.

That win came against Southampton last Saturday, with the Midlands club getting a 2-0 win against their relegation rivals.

Indeed, that was their only clean sheet of the season so far. Wolves have been shaky defensively this term, conceding 27 times, which is five goals more than any other side in the top flight. However, they have performed far better from an attacking point of view and possess plenty of firepower in forward areas.

It may well come as a surprise to many that the Old Gold have scored 16 times this term. Whilst that is not incredible, there are ten sides with fewer than them, including fifth in the table Nottingham Forest, and Fulham with the same amount.

Whilst their season has, on the whole, been a disaster so far, the Midlands outfit can surely only be happy to have been outscored by just eight sides, all of whom are 11th or above in the table. There are a couple of individuals, in particular, who are a big reason why their form in front of goal has been so good.

Of course, one of those players is Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian forward has been sensational this term, scoring five times and registering seven assists in the 11 Premier League games played so far. That included a match-winning contribution against Southampton, where he scored one goal and assisted the other to ensure the Old Gold picked up their first win of the season.

Another Wolves star who is having an exceptional campaign is Rayan Ait-Nouri. The left-wing back has taken his game to a new level this season, scoring three goals and grabbing two assists flying up and down the left flank. Impressively, this is already his best season from a goal-involvement perspective.

Summer addition Jorgen Strand Larsen is also having a good impact for the Old Gold. The Norweigan striker has scored four times so far, grabbing an assist along the way too. He joined on a loan deal from Celta Vigo, a move that will become permanent if certain clauses are triggered.

If that is the case, it might leave one Wolves striker, currently on loan elsewhere, out in the cold at Molineux. That player is Fabio Silva.

Portuguese striker Silva has had a strange career at Molineux, to say the least. He was just 18 years old when he joined the club in 2020. He signed from Porto for £35.6m, which was the Old Gold’s record signing at the time.

Now 22, the former teen prodigy has seen his career stagnate. His Wolves record is disappointing, with just five goals and six assists in 72 appearances. Of course, he is young, but it is certainly disappointing to see him struggling at Molineux.

Silva has had various loan spells over the years, playing for Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven, Rangers and, this season, Las Palmas. His best return came for the Belgian giants Anderlecht, where he scored seven league goals and he has three in nine La Liga games this campaign.

However, Wolves’ patience seems to be running thing. According to reports, the Old Gold are believed to ‘want him off the wage bill’. It might not be viewed as a big loss to the club given he told SPORTbible in June that he “didn’t want to join Wolves” in the first place.

The centre-forward is a big earner too, pocketing £79k-per-week as per Capology. Incredibly, that is more than their biggest two stars combined. Cunha earns £60k-per-week, and Ait-Nouri just £10k-per-week.

It seems like it would be good for both club and player to part ways in January or the summer. Strand Larsen will potentially join permanently, blocking Silva’s pathway into the starting XI, and given he is on such a high wage, earning more than their best two players, it certainly makes sense to sell him as soon as possible.

وتلاقى الفريقان في ذهاب ربع نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا على ملعب “الإمارات” حيث فاز آرسنال بثلاثة أهداف دون رد.

ويستضيف ملعب “سانتياجو برنابيو” مباراة الفريقين في الإياب يوم الأربعاء 16 أبريل الجاري.

وقال كورتوا، في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ماركا” الإسبانية: “آرسنال فريق قوي على أرضه، يضغط جيدًا ويلعب بشكل جيد بين المساحات، صمدنا وشكلنا خطورة في الهجمات المرتدة خلال الشوط الأول”.

وأضاف: “في الشوط الثاني نسينا كيف نلعب كرة القدم، لا أقول إننا شعرنا بالذعر، ولكننا لم نكن هادئين مع الكرة، سجلوا هدفين رائعين من ركلتين حرتين، ثم الثالث، لم يكن رد فعلنا جيدًا”.
