كشفت تقارير صحفية إنجليزية، أنّ فريقي آرسنال وتوتنهام هوتسبير، يريدان التعاقد مع أحد أهداف فريق ليفربول في الميركاتو الصيفي القادم.

توتنهام وآرسنال، يعانيان في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز هذا الموسم، ويرغبان في تعزيز صفوفهما من أجل العودة إلى المسار الصحيح مرة أخرى.

وبحسب شبكة “90 min”، فإن آرسنال وتوتنهام يريدان التعاقد مع اللاعب الدولي النرويجي ساندير بيرج من صفوف شيفيلد يونايتد.

بيرج صاحب الـ23 عامًا، يلعب ارتكاز “ديفندر” (6) ولاعب وسط (8)، ويرغب كل من الفريقان في ضمه.

وأشارت الشبكة إلى أنّ الثنائي اللندني، سيواجهان مُنافسة من جانب نادي ليفربول، والذي يرغب كذلك في ضم بيرج، ليكون بديل الهولندي، جورجينيو فينالدوم في “آنفيلد”.

وأوضحت الصحيفة أنّ اقتراب شيفيلد يونايتد من الهبوط لدوري الدرجة الأولى الإنجليزي(تشامبيون شيب)، سيصعب على النادي الوقوف أمام الأندية السالف ذكرها والإبقاء على بيرج.

ساندير بيرج انضم إلى شيفيلد يونايتد، في شتاء 2020، قادمًا من جينك البلجيكي، مقابل 22 مليون جنيه استرليني.

بيرج هذا الموسم مع شيفيلد لم يلعب كثيرًا بسبب الإصابة، وخاض 13 مباراة في مسابقة البريميرليج، وتمكن من إحراز هدف وصنع مثله.

أعلن روبرتو مانشيني، المدير الفني للمنتخب الإيطالي، تشكيل فريقه لمواجهة أيرلندا الشمالية بتصفيات أوروبا المؤهلة لكأس العالم قطر 2022.

ويلاقي المنتخب الإيطالي نظيره الأيرلندي في إطار مباريات الجولة الأولى للتصفيات.

Liverpool will face a high-flying Leicester side on Saturday with the Foxes’ English stars bang in form, but Ricardo Pereira is a major threat who the Reds must keep in check.

When you think of Leicester’s danger men under Brendan Rodgers, you think of Jamie Vardy and James Maddison.

The former has scored five league goals already this campaign and has Sadio Mane gushing over his quality, while the latter has one goal and two assists in top-flight action, averaging a superb Whoscored rating of 7.42.

That said, the Foxes’ last two fixtures have seen a new threat emerge, as Pereira has found the back of the next in each of his last two games.

The Portugal international has enjoyed a fantastic start to the campaign under Rodgers, so good in fact that it may actually alter the way Mane plays on Saturday.

Indeed, not only is Pereira fulfilling his defensive duties with a whopping 4.7 tackles per game, he is proving to be quite the attacking outlet for his side, racking up over 60 passes per game.

He is completing those passes at a rate of 80%, making 0.7 chances per game, but even more impressively is terrifying his opposite number with 2.1 dribbles per game.

To put that into perspective, Andy Robertson completes 1.3 dribbles each match, while Trent Alexander-Arnold musters a measly 0.3. Even Mane himself doesn’t top Pereira with just 1.3 dribbles per Premier League outing this season.

The 25 year-old loves romping forward and pinning his opposing winger and full-back into their own half, and his battle with Liverpool’s left flank could well decide the game.

If Pereira uses his nearly 5 tackles per game to halt Mane and his excellent bursting runs forward to get in behind the constantly overlapping Robertson, the Foxes could well be the first side in England to take something off the Reds this season.

It is something Jurgen Klopp will have to consider, and it may even force a slightly more cautious approach from the usually unstoppable duo of Robertson and Mane.

Conor Coventry is holding out for more money in his contract negotiations with West Ham United, as reported by Football Insider.

The 19-year-old is reportedly demanding £5,000 a week during negotiations about a contract extension with the club, with his current deal coming to an end in the summer of 2020, as per Transfermarkt.

However, West Ham are not willing to pay him that amount, as they want to see evidence the Republic of Ireland U21 international can play in the Premier League before doing so.

Coventry has played a total of 53 minutes for the Hammers’ first-team, all of which have come in the Carabao Cup.

The first 45 of those came in the form of a substitute appearance during an 8-0 victory over Macclesfield Town last season, while the other 8 came courtesy of a cameo in the 2-0 win over Newport County.

He has shown promising signs at youth level, having become captain of West Ham U23s, while also going on to play in 8 of Republic of Ireland U21s’ last 9 matches.

While it is important for a player to get what they are worth, it seems a bit early for Coventry to be worrying about contract negotiations.

It needs to be ensured this doesn’t impact the focus he has on his development and working towards getting a place in the first-team – if he is able to get the £5,000 a week then great, but he shouldn’t risk his future with the club over it.
