O norte-americano destacou ainda a importância de representar um clube brasileiro nessa premiação tão importante no mundo do futebol. Para ele, a presença do Botafogo nesta cerimônia reforça o tamanho do futebol brasileiro para o mundo.

– As pessoas devem lembrar que a primeira coisa que fiz depois de vencermos o PSG no Mundial de Clubes, foi destacar a importância daquele resultado para o futebol brasileiro. Os times brasileiros estavam indo bem na competição, no primeiro teste contra times do mundo inteiro e foi muito importante para o Brasil. تلقى الاتحاد المصري لكرة السلة برئاسة الدكتور مجدي أبو فريخة خطابًا من الاتحاد الدولي لكرة السلة “فيبا” يفيد باختيار نادي الزمالك للمشاركة في بطولة كأس العالم للأندية لكرة السلة 2022.

وأوضح الاتحاد الدولي انه تقرر مشاركة نادي الزمالك بطل إفريقيا والمتوج باللقب الإفريقي BAL ممثلًا عن قارة إفريقيا في بطولة يشارك فيها 4 أندية في النسخة الأولى من المسابقة.

وأشار الاتحاد الدولي أن البطولة ستقام في شهر فبراير من عام 2022 وتحديدًا من 11 لـ 13 في الشهر نفسه على أن يتم تحديد مكان المسابقة في وقت لاحق.

وستقام المسابقة بمشاركة نادي الزمالك وبورجوس الإسباني ممثل أوروبا فلامنجو البرازيلي ممثل أمريكا الجنوبية و ليكلاند ماجيك الأمريكي ممثل أمريكا الشمالية.

The 2004/05 season was a busy one from a Glasgow Rangers perspective in terms of transfers.

The ‘Gers spent £14.2m that campaign, with several new recruits joining the club. The biggest fee was spent on Barry Ferguson, who returned to the Ibrox outfit after spending time in England with the likes of Birmingham and Blackburn, whilst Belgium international Thomas Buffel also joined.

One of the lesser-known players to move to Glasgow at that time was defender Dragan Mladenovic, who made the switch from Red Star Belgrade. The Serbian capital club are one of the two biggest in the country along with city rivals Partizan, and the ‘Gers believed that he was worth the £1.44m they spent on him.

His time at Ibrox proved to be anything but successful. He would make just eight appearances for the ‘Gers in all competitions before moving to Real Sociedad on loan just six months after his arrival in Scotland. The Spanish side chose not to sign permanently and he then returned to Ibrox.

They didn’t want him either, though, and after just one year at the club, he left on a free transfer in 2005, returning to his homeland and his former side Red Star. After just one season and eight matches, the ‘Gers made a 100% loss on the midfielder. Alex McLeish may have won six trophies as the club’s manager but his purchase of Mladenovic was an ill-fated misjudgement.

Newcastle United have made an offer for Malaysian wonder kid Luqman Hakim, according to Arena (via NUFC Blog).

According to The Guardian, the 18-year old was on the list of ‘top 60 young footballers of 2019’ last year and has been tipped to make the move to Europe in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Hakim secured a deal of five years with Belgian first division team K.V. Kortrijk last year, which is owned by Vincent Tan, who English football fans will also recall is the owner of Cardiff City.

He graduated from a football development programme in Malaysia and seemed to graduate with flying colours, and was going to be rewarded by being able to train with Cardiff until he turned 18 in March earlier in this year.

However, that arrangement was postponed, and thus he has been playing with Malaysian giants FA Selangor instead.

Lionel Foy is the agent of the prospect and has claimed there are lots of teams in the Premier League interested in securing the signature of the striker, however, it is not known yet if he would be allowed to be given a work permit first that would allow him to play in the English top flight.

Nevertheless, if the Magpies’ offer for Hakim is accepted by his club, then it could possibly be a sign that the proposed takeover at St. James’ Park will go through.

Given his strong connections in Asia with Malaysia, the youngster could attract more supporters from that part of the world, and could be an incentive for the Saudis especially to push through their £300 million bid.

Only time will tell whether their deal with Mike Ashley goes through, but if it does, Hakim could be a catalyst for that given his Asian connections.

This FA Cup semi-final arguably comes at the wrong time for both of these sides, as they still seek to confirm their Premier League fates.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea are battling for a top-four finish and are separated by a single point in the standings, although the FA Cup does represent an opportunity to add to each side’s trophy cabinet.

United last won this competition in 2016 and one more will bring them level with Arsenal’s record 13 FA Cup triumphs, which will give them some incentive, despite the potential distraction of desperately trying to secure Champions League football via a top-four finish. Just an appearance in the final will be a record 21st for the Red Devils.

Chelsea beat United 1-0 in the final two years ago and are aiming for their 9th FA Cup triumph. Here they are bidding to make their third final in four seasons and their 14th in history.

With both sides competing for a top-four finish, it’s currently unclear how much both Frank Lampard and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will see this game as a priority, but the added incentive of winning silverware should trump any concerns they have.

Manchester United have beaten Chelsea three times already this season but the Blues have had 48 hours longer to prepare for this meeting.

The Red Devils go into this game as the form side, though, having not tasted defeat in any competition since a home defeat to Burnley at the end of January – that’s an unbeaten run of 19 games.

Chelsea’s strong start to football’s return has been tarnished by away defeats to West Ham and Sheffield United, while they only just scraped a 1-0 win over relegated Norwich City earlier this week.

On the basis of this, Man United are arguably the favourites to advance to a record 21st FA Cup final, but question marks over both side’s team selection intentions mean this remains a difficult one to predict

Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams both missed United’s mid-week win over Crystal Palace and may not be ready to feature here either, while Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe remain sidelined. Sergio Romero is expected to stand in for David De Gea in goal.

For Chelsea, the only definite absentee is Billy Gilmour while there are some doubts over the fitness of N’Golo Kante.

الفائز بكأس العالم ثلاث مرات، البالغ 80 عامًا، يتواجد في مستشفى ألبرت أينشتاين في ساو باولو بالبرازيل.

ولم يصدر المستشفى بيانًا رسميًا بشأن حالة لاعب كرة القدم الشهير منذ انتشار الخبر، وفقًا لـ “سكاي نيوز” نقلاً عن تقارير برازيلية.

تم إدخال بيليه إلى المستشفى الشهر الماضي للخضوع لـ “فحوصات روتينية” تأخرت بسبب الوباء.

تم اكتشاف ورم في القولون في سبتمبر وخضع لعملية جراحية مؤخرًا لحل وضعه الصحي (طالع المزيد).

غادر بيليه العناية المركزة يوم الثلاثاء وشكر المعجبين على دعمهم المستمر على “إنستجرام”، وكتب قبل أيام: “يا أصدقائي، هذه رسالة لكل واحد منكم”.
