O São Paulo se manifestou contra a ação policial que impediu milhares de torcedores de irem ao jogo contra a Ponte Preta, nesse domingo, em Campinas, pelo Campeonato Brasileiro. A diretoria enxergou exagero na ação dos policiais, que acabou impedindo que eles vissem a derrota do Tricolor no Moisés Lucarelli.

Os são-paulino foram barrados na altura da rodovia Anhanguera. De acordo com a PM, a ação foi tomada durante vistoria rotineira na estrada porque havia muitos torcedores sem ingresso nos ônibus e a informação era de que as bilheterias estavam fechadas – elas estavam abertas até o intervalo e sobrava espaço no estádio.

– O torcedor do São Paulo sempre é importante. Lotam o Morumbi, são o 12° jogador. Não sabia que não puderam ir ao estádio, mas peço que as pessoas que não os deixaram ir que não façam mais isso, eles são muito importantes – comentou o goleiro Renan Ribeiro.

Embora sabedor dos cuidados que orientam o esquema policial, que respeita e aprova, entende o São Paulo FC que medidas extremadas, tomadas sem que tenha havido qualquer ameaça à ordem pública, configuram um excesso que transmite a ideia de autoritarismo, que não contribui para o alcance de um comportamento respeitoso e civilizado.

Acreditamos ser possível que, diante das perspectivas de entendimento, o futebol volte a reunir torcedores acima de tudo interessados em desfrutar do espetáculo, apenas torcendo para os seus times.

أكدت تقارير صحفية مختلفة منذ قليل أن نادي توتنهام توصل إلى اتفاق مع لاعب فريق برشلونة كليمنت لينجليه حول ضمه، في موسم الانتقالات الصيفي الحالي.

ودخل توتنهام في مفاوضات مع لينجليه من جهة، وإدارة برشلونة من جهة أخرى، للتوصل إلى اتفاق حول ضم المدافع الفرنسي هذا الصيف.

وحسبما ذكر الصحفي فابريزيو رومانو، فإن توتنهام تمكن من التوصل إلى اتفاق مع لينجليه حول الشروط الشخصية لصفقة انتقاله إلى الفريق اللندني.

وأوضح أن الصفقة ستكون على سبيل الإعارة لمدة موسم، ويتبقى اتفاق توتنهام مع برشلونة حول الإطار المالي للصفقة.

من جهة أخرى، أفاد الصحفي ألفريدو مارتينيز أن توتنهام لن يكون مسؤولًا بشكل كامل عن دفع راتب لينجليه، حيث لن تستطيع الإدارة تحمل ذلك.

وأشار إلى أن لينجليه يحصل على راتب سنوي قدره 7 ملايين يورو، وسيتولى برشلونة مسؤولية دفع جزءًا منه عندما يذهب اللاعب إلى توتنهام.

The Verdict: Hard to see happening

In truth, it is hard to see Brozovic making the move to Anfield, considering that he turns 29 later this year and therefore doesn’t represent a long-term signing.

West Ham United boss David Moyes is refusing to waste money during the transfer window and is set to only welcome late additions if they will improve the squad, according to Evening Standard journalist Jack Rosser.

Moyes has made no secret of the fact he wants to bolster his options after guiding the Hammers into this season’s Europa League thanks to registering a club record Premier League points tally last term.

The 14th edition of the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy in Cuttack begins on Thursday, bang in the middle of the India-Australia Test series, with defending champions India Blue taking on India Red. The tournament has been slotted between the second and third Tests, allowing the national selectors to focus on this tournament, which, owing to its positioning, serves more as a trial for the seven-ODI series against England in December. With India unchanged for the two remaining Tests, most of the players here will probably not be playing for any immediate spots in the Test team.The domestic season officially began with the Irani Trophy last month but the Rest of India team that beat Delhi was a virtual Indian Test side. Unfortunately, the Challengers will be stripped of the same star value, with the senior Indian players using the break to rest and recharge. On the bright side, the three sides have players who have either served India with distinction in the past or have just made it to the Indian limited-overs squad. The IPL turned several unknown faces into household names and the public now have to opportunity to watch them in the 50-over format.The Barabati Stadium will host the Challengers for the first time since its inception in 1994-95. The town hasn’t hosted an international match since January last year, between India and the West Indies, so the day-night fixtures should draw crowds to the 33,000-capacity venue.Yuvraj Singh, the tournament’s biggest attraction, takes charge of India Blue. They will be without the services of legspinner Amit Mishra – who has been retained in India’s Test squad after an impressive debut in Mohali – but his replacement, Chetanya Nanda, comes off a very creditable showing in the Irani Cup recently after taking eight wickets. The squad has four seamers, including Irfan Pathan and Ashok Dinda, the promising Bengal fast bowler who was recently part of the India A squad. The batting will rest primarily on Yuvraj and Virat Kohli, who recently made it to the Indian one-day squad.Player to watch
Robin Uthappa: The scrutiny on Uthappa has only increased after very poor returns for India A in the recent A Team Tri-Series also featuring Australia and New Zealand. He managed 47 runs in five games and at times failed to build on starts. His opening partner in that series, Swapnil Asnodkar, too had a miserable time and it probably cost him his place in the Challengers. Express and Star journalist Luke Hatfield believes that West Bromwich Albion’s transfer window has been good enough to help them win promotion back to the Premier League this season.

The Baggies have made six summer signings, with Alex Mowatt, Matt Clarke, Adam Reach, Quevin Castro, Jordan Hugill and Jayson Molumby all penning deals at the Hawthorns.

Under the leadership of Valerien Ismael, West Brom have started life back in the Championship undefeated. After drawing their first fixture of the season against AFC Bournemouth, the Baggies have put a run together of four straight victories and currently sit second in the Championship table.

With the business that the Baggies have done this summer, Hatfield believes it’s good enough to ensure that the club are in the picture for promotion, telling Football FanCast: “I think it has been good enough. To be honest they’ve filled positions which they have needed to, they could maybe have done with one more to cover Darnell Furlong, that’s a position that, you know, if he was to go down, they’d really struggle to replace, I think.
