Barisal had set Rajshahi a daunting total, but Shahzaib Hasan and Junaid Siddique got the chase off to a blazing start with a partnership of 93 from just 6.4 overs.Shahzaib fell for 46 off 22 balls, but Siddique continued to score quickly, and was given company by Marlon Samuels. Siddique hit five sixes and seven fours in his 89 off 51 balls, and Samuels struck three sixes in his 54 off 30 balls. The pair added 100 runs in 10.3 overs, and got Rajshahi home with 17 balls to spare.Everything had seemed to be on track for Barisal when they chose to bat and got off to a quick start despite being without the injured Chris Gayle, who has flown to Durban ahead of the MiWAY T20 Challenge in South Africa. Ahmed Shehzad and Phil Mustard got them to 98 for 1 in the 12th over. Shehzad was dismissed for 44, but Mustard did not slow down, and was given support by Mithun Ali and then Rameez Raja. Mustard finished unbeaten on 88 off 58 balls, but Barisal’s 192 was not enough to beat Rajshahi.In the high-scoring game, Rajshahi legspinner Monir Hossain’s figures of 4-0-19-1 were outstanding.Following the match, Rajshahi’s coach, Khaled Mashud was penalised by match referee Mike Procter for entering the field of play during the strategic timeout. Mashud was fined 15,000 Taka since, as per the law, no officials are allowed onto the field during the course of play.

Na tarde desta quinta-feira, a Chapecoense confirmou que recebeu da Conmebol a suspensão de dois anos dada ao atleta Moisés Ribeiro, pego em exame antidoping durante a participação do clube na Libertadores 2018. O volante foi flagrado após o duelo contra o Nacional (URU) no torneio continental, ainda no mês de fevereiro.

A substância detectada na urina de Moisés foi o corticoide, que é proibido pela Agência Mundial Antidopagem (WADA, na sigla original em inglês). Beau Casson, the former Australia spin bowler, has spoken for the first time about the heart condition relapse that forced his retirement from cricket.Honoured by New South Wales at the Steve Waugh Medal presentation in Sydney last month, Casson told ESPNcricinfo of his traumatic exit from the game after he was forced from the field during a Sheffield Shield match against South Australia at Adelaide Oval in October 2011.That day Casson had felt distressed on the field and fared little better in the dressing room, before being taken to hospital by the Blues chairman of selectors David Freedman. There were echoes in the case of the footballer Fabrice Muamba, who suffered a cardiac arrest during an FA Cup tie between Bolton and Tottenham and has since fought an almighty battle for his life in hospital.Casson now works as an ambassador for Heart Kids NSW, intent on keeping both sporting participants and their coaches and support staff aware of the many complex permutations surrounding the heart. While not wanting to speak much of the Muamba incident, he said its public nature had provided a reminder of how delicate life can be.”What happened [to Muamba] was absolutely terrible, but it makes people realise you’re not invincible,” Casson said. “When it first happened [to Casson in Adelaide] it was incredibly frightening, quite a traumatic event. Personally I found it really hard because naturally I hadn’t played my part in the game and the boys were one down, so that’s what I struggled a fair bit with.”It wasn’t an ideal time and I’m incredibly happy with the way I’ve got through it. It was incredibly frustrating, frightening, things were pretty chaotic around that sort of event, but New South Wales I much appreciate their support through it all, and for them to make sure I looked after myself. It wasn’t easy that’s for sure.”Casson has managed the condition, which makes it difficult for him to lower his heart-rate after it has risen, since his teens. He battled back from a collapse during a Sydney grade game in the 2010-11 season to earn a recall to the Blues’ team last summer, however the Adelaide episode forced the closure of his playing days at the age of 29.”It’s always been a challenge for me through my whole career with a congenital heart condition. It’s always something I’ve been incredibly diligent about,” Casson said. “I had an episode early last season in club cricket, which once again was incredibly frightening and we sorted out what needed to be.”But it’s an incredibly complex issue and hence the reason why things have happened the way they have. I don’t think anyone could foresee the way things would happen. There’s obviously been a fair bit written of late in the media about certain people in other sports, and it’s just the nature of the condition.”Following his forced absence from the remainder of the Adelaide match, Casson flew home to Sydney where he underwent further tests and spoke with medical experts including his long-time heart specialist. Their decision was for Casson to retire, ending a career that had once shone brightly enough to merit a baggy green cap in 2008.”I left it to the people a lot brighter than me,” Casson said. “I had a series of tests and I was waiting to see what they came back with, and that was that. When you get told both sides of the story when an event like that happens, you have to weigh up exactly where you’re at. Their advice was the best thing for me was to stop playing and that’s the way it happened.”Studying teaching and also doing some coaching in addition to his ambassadorial role, Casson said the whole experience had given him valuable perspective on life as well as cricket, and he valued its lessons even as he came to terms with the sudden end to his days as a cricketer.”It was only the other day I was talking to a few younger cricketers about what this great game offers and you learn so much about yourself,” he said. “You might have some setbacks in cricket, that you can take out into your university degree or whatever it is, employment.”You learn a hell of a lot about yourself and how to deal with certain situations, and I’ve had a few situations I’ve been able to deal with and it’s given me a lot of insight and strength for the future to be even tempered and be able to take the good day with the bad days. Like any cricketer, that’s probably the most challenging aspect of the game.”

وسجل محمد صلاح في 4 مباريات متتالية ضد مانشستر يونايتد، بالتساوي مع ديريك فورشاو الذي نجح في تحقيق ذلك في الفترة بين عامي 1925 و1927.

وكان محمد صلاح قد سجل 10 أهداف في شباك مانشستر يونايتد، في مختلف المسابقات، بينما يتساوى مع ستيفن جيرارد بـ8 أهداف على صعيد الأهداف المسجلة ضد الشياطين الحمر في بطولة الدوري.

هذا إلى جانب إنه في حال تسجيل محمد صلاح غدًا، سيتساوى مع روبي فاولر بـ128 هدفًا ويعادله باعتباره الهداف التاريخي لفريق ليفربول في الدوري الإنجليزي، وإذا سجل أكثر من هدف، سينفرد باللقب.

ولا يقتصر الأمر على محمد صلاح فقط، فهناك جوردان هندرسون كذلك الذي إذا بدأ مباراة الغد، سيكون قد وصل إلى مباراته رقم 400 كأساسي مع ليفربول في مختلف البطولات. 

 بينما ستحمل مباراة الغد للمدافع الهولندي، فيرجيل فان دايك، رقم 150 بقميص ليفربول في بطولة الدوري حال مشاركته.

أثار مهاجم الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي مانشستر يونايتد والمعار من بيرنلي، فوتر فيجورست، غضب جماهير الشياطين الحمر في فيديو تم نشره لما قبل مباراة ليفربول على ملعب “أنيفلد”.

وشارك فيجورست مع مانشستر يونايتد في المباراة التي انتهت بفوز ليفربول بنتيجة مُذلة 7-0 يوم، الأحد الماضي، ولكن تصرف الهولندي أثار حالة من الجدل وسط جماهير ناديه.

لم يقدم الهولندي الدولي أي أداء يذكر أمام ليفربول مع مستوى سيء للغاية في أغلب مباريات مانشستر يونايتد منذ انضمامه في يناير الماضي حيث سجل فيجورست هدفًا وحيدًا في 14 مباراة.

لكن ما فعله فيجورست قبل المباراة كان تصرفًا غريبًا عند دخول نفق ملعب “أنفيلد” وقام مهاجم منتخب هولندا بلمس شعار “This Is Anfield” مع لاعبي ليفربول الذين يفعلون ذلك كتفاؤل قبل المباريات.

غضبت جماهير مانشستر يونايتد بحسب ما ذكرت شبكة “جول” عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي من تصرف فيجورست وتساءل البعض: “ماذا يفعل”، والبعض الآخر طالب باستبعاده من الفريق ويعود على متن طائرة إلى بيرنلي.

ما فعله فيجورست أعاد لأذهان الجماهير تصريحات اللاعب عندما كان في فولفسبورج واعترافه بأنه محب لنادي ليفربول، وقال: “لطالما وجدت هذا النادي مميزًا للغاية، ما زلت أشعر بالقشعريرة عندما أسمع غناء الجماهير في أنفيلد، لن تمشي وحدك أبدًا”.

Kleber Gladiador está próximo de ser anunciado como reforço do São Bento. O jogador aceitou um contrato de produtividade, em que inicialmente terá um vínculo até o mês de novembro, e caso tenha bom desempenho pode estender sua permanência. A informação foi publicada pelo Globo Esporte.

Gary Kirsten admitted that it is a “little bit concerning” that seamer Vernon Philander will head straight into two months of county cricket after a busy season. Philander played in seven of the eight Tests South Africa contested this season and turned out in all formats for his franchise, the Cobras. He will not have a break until the end of May, a month before South Africa’s tour to England.Kirsten said despite the packed schedule, Philander must honour his contract with Somerset because he agreed to it before he became a nationally contracted player. Kirsten was consulted about the decision and encouraged Philander to accept Somerset offer because of the experience it would allow him to gain. “That decision was made during the first Test against Australia in November,” Kirsten said. “Philander asked me my opinion and I said I didn’t think it will be a bad idea to get used to the bowling conditions there. I don’t think anyone would have thought that he would play seven Tests and get 50 wickets and really play a major part and bowl a lot of overs for us.”Philander stunned the international stage with his consistent wicket-taking and was awarded a CSA contract in January, which comes into effect on April 1. Philander’s Somerset contract was subject to conditions relating to whether he was able to secure an IPL deal. When he went unsold in the February auction, Philander’s agreement with Somerset kicked in. He will play eight matches starting on April 5, when they host Middlesex in their first Championship match.Kirsten said it is vital Philander sees out his contract but hopes CSA can work with Somerset to ensure he is not overworked or burnt out. “He wasn’t under CSA contract when he signed the Somerset contract. He needs to honour his contract, that’s important. But we would like to create a relationship with them and say these are our needs going forward in terms of the Test series,” Kirsten said. “What’s important for me is that he has a window period, a conditioning period. We would like to create that. We will chat to Somerset and see where they are on it and hopefully we can get a significant conditioning period. As it stands at the moment he is due to comeback at the end of May.”County seasons are known to be gruelling on most and South Africans have sometimes struggled to keep up. Dale Steyn was one of the bowlers who had a tough time adjusting during his 2005 stint at Essex and Lonwabo Tsotsobe also battled in his time at the same county last season. Kirsten said Somerset have promised to be accommodating with Philander but even if they are not, he should have ample rest. “They’ve been quite good about it already. They’ve said we are not going to overuse him but I know how the county circuit works. There’s no such thing as overuse when you’ve got a game on the line,” Kirsten said. “He has got a month off when he gets back and then we go to England so it’s a decent break.”Philander’s England experience is being eagerly anticipated after his explosive start in Test cricket. He is level as the second-fastest bowler to 50 Test wickets, achieving the feat in just seven matches. Although not expressly quick, Philander has shown the worth of being a crafty bowler and has gone from rookie to being the leader of the South African attack in a short space of time.The secret to Philander’s success seems to be nothing more complicated than rewards for discipline and skill and a testament to the work he put in at domestic level. “He is very consistent, he has got good control and gets subtle movement of the ball both ways,”Kirsten explained. “He bowls very accurately and has got enough pace. He knows what he is doing with the ball and he has got a great, very simple bowling technique. But, more importantly, he has got the mental capability to make big plays when we need him to make big plays and that is very exciting. It’s very exciting that we have those types of individuals. We tried him out this summer and look at the summer he had.”

Ricardo Lomba, vice-presidente de futebol do Flamengo, garantiu que a diretoria tem total confiança no trabalho do técnico Maurício Barbieri. Porém, fez questão de salientar que todos os profissionais do departamento de futebol tem de apresentar os resultados.

– (Barbieri tem) A mesma segurança que qualquer profissional tem. Precisamos entregar resultado e, quando isso não acontece, tem de ser avaliado. Não há estabilidade.

Lomba apontou a queda de rendimento após a Copa do Mundo, mas lembrou que o time teve um período de muitos jogos.

– A régua subiu bastante. A expectativa é grande. Após a Copa, rendimento caiu. Pegamos um mês com dificuldade, mas estamos brigando. Estamos vivos. Está longe de ser terra arrasada, mas precisamos fazer alguns ajustes. Não estava nos planos o empate com o Vasco. Expectativa era outra – admitiu.

O dirigente, por outro lado, não deu prazos para trabalho de Barbieri:

– Temos de trabalhar e ir percebendo a reação, o que está sendo produzido. Quando não tivermos mais esperança em mudar a situação, é a hora. Mas enquanto acreditarmos e acharmos que estava no caminho certo, vamos manter.
