West Bromwich Albion have been handed a huge boost in their bid to bring Kean Brayn to The Hawthorns this summer.

What’s the talk?

That’s according to a report by The Sun, who claim that the Sheffield United defender could be tempted by a move to Albion in the summer transfer window, as the 24-year-old is keen to link up with the new West Brom manager Valerien Ismael.

It has been reported that the Frenchman is keeping a very close eye on the situation of the £1.8m-rated centre-back ahead of a potential move this summer, with the 45-year-old looking to bring in a number of cost-friendly additions to his squad ahead of their upcoming Championship campaign.

Ismael will be buzzing

With a number of clubs believed to be interested in a move for the former England U20 international this summer, if the reports suggesting that Bryan is eager for a switch to West Brom to go through are true, it will undoubtedly leave Ismael buzzing.

Indeed, despite having featured sparingly for United since joining the club from Manchester City back in 2018, the centre-back showed glimpses of his potential towards the back end of last season.

Over his 13 Premier League appearances for Paul Heckingbottom’s side last term, Bryan helped his side keep two clean sheets, as well as making an average of one interception, 1.5 tackles, 2.7 clearances and winning 4.3 duels per game.

The £3k-per-week man also posed a threat for the Blades in an attacking capacity, scoring one goal and creating one big chance for his teammates, in addition to making an average of 0.3 key passes per league fixture.

These returns saw the man Chris Wilder dubbed a “talented” player earn a seasonal SofaScore match rating of 6.74, ranking him as the club’s 10th-best performer in the top flight of English football.

And, should the 24-year-old make a move to West Brom ahead of their campaign in the Championship, the drop in standard could provide Bryan with the perfect platform to flourish further in the heart of the defence, with his potential signing undoubtedly providing Ismael with a considerable boost to the chances of his side going on to secure promotion back to the Premier League next season.

وأسفرت قرعة دور ربع نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا التي أجريت في القاهرة 5 أبريل الماضي، عن مواجهة الأهلي لفريق الرجاء المغربي.

وتقام مواجهة الذهاب بين الأهلي والرجاء، في القاهرة، غداً السبت على استاد الأهلي وي السلام، وتلعب مباراة الإياب في المغرب يوم الجمعة 22 إبريل الجاري.

West Ham United star Declan Rice and 2020/2021 loanee Jesse Lingard have been included in England’s 33-man provisional squad for UEFA Euro 2020 – with many Hammers fans erupting as this ‘amazing news’ was confirmed this week.

Both men were arguable standouts for West Ham over a campaign which saw them qualify for the 2021/2022 Europa League.

Indeed, David Moyes’ men smashed expectations by securing sixth spot just one season after finishing a lowly 16th in 2019/2020.

Both Rice and Lingard were crucial cogs in that achievement, with the former starting 32 top flight matches and averaging the most interceptions per 90 out of any Irons player with more than 15 appearances (WhoScored).

Meanwhile, Lingard signed on loan from parent club Manchester United in January and racked up an incredible nine goals and four assists in just 16 starts for West Ham (WhoScored).

Reports in recent weeks and months have suggested that the Argentine is a target for Dean Smith’s side, with Buendia helping to fire the Canaries back into the Premier League for next season.

Newcastle must make a ruthless call on Yoshinori Muto this summer amid Lee Ryder’s transfer update.

The Japan international currently finds himself on loan at Spanish side SD Eibar, and it appears the Magpies have got the perfect chance to get rid this summer.

According to The Chronicle’s Ryder, Muto has suggested he is open to staying at the La Liga club for next season, and given that his contract at St James’ Park expires in the summer of 2022, this could be the Magpies’ final opportunity to get some money in for him.

Mike Ashley must get rid

Muto scored just once in 17 Premier League appearances during his first season at St James’ Park, and it just didn’t get any better for him after that – in fact, his total record for Newcastle since his arrival is 28 games played, and just two goals scored.

And it was a move that talkSPORT pundit Darren Gough certainly wasn’t a big fan of, saying: “He (Benitez) went and got Muto. I’m no football expert but at the start of the season I thought ‘that could probably turn out to be the worst signing of the season’.

“He’s scored one goal for them, not really settled in well, has he? £9.5m you spend on just someone. Did he bring him in to start or to just come off the bench?”

The £54k-a-week earning Muto has just been a complete and utter disaster for the Magpies, and this summer should see Mike Ashley make a ruthless call and get rid of the Japanese ace.
